5 Must-Have Items Every Bookworm Should Pack In Their Beach Bag

Cozy Readers, beach season is in full-swing and we’re packing our tote with tons of goodies to keep us occupied while savoring the sun. But every good bookworm knows that in order to maximize reading time, there are a few beach-bum essentials every reader should pack in their oceanside tote! Here are the must-have items you shouldn’t leave home without!

1) Hat

Keep the sun out of your eyes (and off your pages, too), with a nice beach bonnet! We adore this floppy, packable sun hat from Flipside Hats! It’s perfect for lazy, yet fancy, beach days.

2) Portable Power Banks

Before heading to the beach, snag a phone battery extender. Dive into that book without worrying about your phone’s battery life. Tweet, post, and share live updates of your favorite summer beach reads with one of these handy Amazon power banks!

3) Sunscreen

Sunscreen is a must! Without it, a devoted reader can’t spend all day reading, duh! So, be sure to regularly apply the good stuff for maximum reading time. One application equals about 50 pages, right? Either way, one of our favorite organic sunscreens is Badger SPF 35 Sport, which will still protect your reader’s complexion, even if you take a dip to cool off!

4) Lip Balm

If you’re spending a full day in the sun, then you’ll need to protect your lips, too! So, opt for one of these natural lip balms to seal in moisture.

5) More Reading Material

The reason our beach bag is so heavy? We tend to pack a lot of books. Can you blame us, bookworms? Some people might think heading to the beach is for swimming or working on a tan, but for us, it’s for reading! Here are the top five new releases on our TBR (at the beach) list for summer 2018!
